If you are a woman and you want to learn how to make websites, we have good news for you! We are holding a one-day workshop for beginners!
It will take place on Feb 6 & 7 in San Francisco.
We believe that the tech industry will benefit from having more women in engineering roles. To support that effort, we want to give you an opportunity to learn how to program!
The workshop is free to attend, but there are a limited number of seats, so be sure to apply before January 30th.
If you are a woman and have a laptop, you can apply to participate! You don’t need to have any previous technical experience - this workshop is aimed at women who are new to programming.
As a workshop attendee you will:
We have space for 40 people, so don't wait to sign up!
Do I need to know anything about websites or programming?
No! The workshop is for beginners. You don’t need to know anything before attending the workshop. If you have some coding experience, you are also welcome to apply. Or consider being a coach!
I do not live in the San Francisco, can I attend?
Yes, but we are currently not offering any financial aid for travel or accommodations.
Should I bring my own laptop?
Yes. Ideally, you will be able to take home all of the code you'll write during the workshop and can continue experimenting with it.
Do I need to have anything installed on my laptop?
It would be helpful to have Django installed on your machine. If you need help there will be an installation night on Friday, February 6 before the workshop on Saturday.
Will there be food?
Yes. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided thanks to our sponsor, Prezi.
Many thanks to the amazing people and organizations who donated money, knowledge, and time to help us produce this workshop:
