If you identify as a woman and you want to learn how to make websites, it's time to get started: we are holding a one-day workshop for beginners! It will take place on February 27th, 2016 in Manhattan, New York City.
We believe that tech industry will benefit from bringing more women into engineering roles. As part of supporting that effort, we want to give you an opportunity to learn how to program your first web app.
This workshop is aimed at total beginners. You don't need to know anything about programming to participate. You just need to bring your own laptop and have a sufficient understanding of English to follow our English-language tutorial.
The workshop is free of charge but we have a limited number of seats available. The application period will be open until February 8th, 2016.

Do I need to know anything about websites or programming?
Not at all! This workshop is for beginners. There are no prerequisites. If you have a little bit of technical knowledge (say you know what HTML or CSS are), however, you still can apply!
I am not living in New York City, can I attend?
Yes, but we are currently not offering any financial aid for travel or accommodations.
Should I bring my own laptop?
Yes, you must bring your laptop. Our goal if for you to take home all of the code you write during the workshop so you can continue to experiment with it.
Do I need to have something installed on my laptop?
It would be helpful to have Django installed before the workshop, but we don't expect you to install anything on your own. We will make sure that one of our coaches will help you out with this task.
Is food provided?
Yes. Thanks to our generous sponsors, food will be provided throughout the workshop.
What other resources are there for me to continue learning?
We will provide several resources and ideas for you to continue on your path to becoming a programmer. For starters, check out the weekly Django hacknight.
