Free *in-person* programming workshop for women

Django Girls

If you are a female and you want to learn how to make websites, we have good news for you! We are holding a one-day workshop for beginners!

It will take place on Sat April 26 at Talbot Hotel Stillorgan in the Dublin. We believe that IT industry will greatly benefit from bringing more women into technology. We want to give you an opportunity to learn how to program and become one of us - female programmers!

Workshops are free of charge.

If you are female, and have a laptop - you can apply. The workshops are female friendly rather than female only - If you are a man and wish to apply that's ok but first preference for places is given to Women. You don’t need to know any technical stuff - workshops are for people who are new to programming.

As a workshop attendee you will:

• attend one-day Django workshops during which you will create your first website

We have space only for 25 people, so make sure to fill the form very carefully!

Do I need to know anything about websites or programming?

No! Workshops are for beginners. You don’t need to know anything about it. However, if you have a little bit of technical knowledge (i.e. you know what HTML or CSS are) you still can apply!

Should I bring my own laptop?

Yes. We have no hardware, so we expect you to bring your computer with you. It is also important for us that you will take home everything you’ll write and create during workshops.

Do I need to have something installed on my laptop?

It would be helpful to have Django installed before workshops, we will place instructions on installation in an email about the workshop. We will have a slot for installation help remotely on TBC (this is optional to attend), this is so we are all set for the workshop for Sat Apr 26. We will make sure that one of our coaches will help you out with this task.

Is Django Girls for women only?

No! All genders can apply. We want to bring more diverse community into programming.

I'm not attending DjangoCon Europe, can I attend?

Yes! Check out https://2025.djangocon.eu, tickets are now live.

If you are accepted, you will be given free access to attend the workshop. Even if you are not attending the rest of the DjangoCon Europe conference. Simply show up on Sat April 26 at Talbot Hotel Stillorgan and an organiser will guide you to the room. 

I am not living in Dublin, can I attend?

Of course! And DjangoCon Europe also has a Grants programme (Closes: Sun Jan 19 at 23:59 UTC) if you need assistance to attend DjangoCon Europe in Dublin, Ireland.

Is food provided?

Yes, DjangoCon Europe will be providing food on the day.
