Are you curious about IT but unsure if it’s the right path for you? If you are a woman (including anyone who identifies as such) and want to explore programming, we have exciting news: we’re hosting a one-day free workshop for beginners in Amsterdam!

If you’re a woman, understand English, and can bring a laptop with you, you’re eligible! No prior technical experience is needed — this workshop is designed for complete beginners. We have room for around 40 participants. Complete the form clearly, explicitly, and honestly with detailed answers — that is crucial to our selection process.
☕ 🍰 At the beginning, we will have a welcome coffee and snacks for all the participants and coaches (great opportunity to meet new people!) and an introduction from Django Girls Amsterdam team.
💻 Then, you will be seated together with your coach and a group of 2-3 more participants. Throughout the whole day, you will follow Django Girls Tutorial, which is a step-by-step instruction on how to create your website with Python, Django, HTML and CSS. Your coach will be there for you to explain you how things work and help with any issues you face.
🍽️ 💬 Around 12 PM, we will have lunch all together and then listen to an interesting female speaker, who will share her experience as a woman in tech.
💻 After that, everyone gets back to work in their own group.
🎉 At the end, we will have a quiz with a small prize, and a small closing ceremony.

Is the workshop suitable for total beginners? Absolutely!
This event is tailored for complete beginners. We’ll even help you with setup a few days before the event.
Can I join online? Unfortunately, no.
This is an in-person event in Amsterdam. If you can’t attend, you can follow the Django Girls Tutorial on your own.
What if I already know some programming?
You’re welcome to apply! However, if you’re highly experienced, this workshop might not be as beneficial for you.
Do I need to bring a laptop? Yes.
If you don’t have one, please let us know early, and we’ll try to arrange one for you (in exceptional cases).
Do you provide support for travel, accommodation, or visa arrangements? No.
Unfortunately, we don't cover travel, accommodation, or visa expenses.
Do I need to install anything beforehand?
It’s helpful if you complete the installation steps in the tutorial before the workshop. Your coach will also organize a pre-event setup meeting to assist you. If needed, setup support will be available during the workshop.
Will food be provided? Yes.
