Django Girls

Are you are a Female and want to learn how to make websites? We live in a world that technology keeps growing rapidly and transforms many people lives. We use it every day, but not all of us know how to shift from consuming technology to producing it. If you are a woman and are interested in diving into the world of the internet with us, we have good news for you: we are holding a one-day workshop for beginners!

This workshop is aimed at total beginners. You don't need to know anything about programming to participate. You just need to bring your own wifi-enabled laptop on Friday evening the 10th of August, 2018 and all day Saturday 11th, August, 2018 and have a sufficient understanding of English to follow our English-language tutorial. It will take place at the Bank of Ghana Auditorium, University of Ghana in Accra πŸ‘©β€πŸ’».

We believe the IT industry will greatly benefit from bringing more women into technology. We want to give you an opportunity to learn how to program and become one of us – women programmers!

Workshops are free of charge and if you cannot afford coming to Accra but are very motivated to learn and then share your knowledge with others, we may have some funds to help you out with your travel costs and accommodation.

You'll work through a tutorial in small groups of three with a coach, so you'll be able to learn at your own pace.

Apply for the workshop!
