Django Girls is a non-profit organization that wants to bring more women into the wonderful world of programming and technology. We're organising a free, one-day workshop for beginners that will teach you how to create a website using Python and Django.
It will take place on 7th of October 2023 in Berlin
We believe that IT industry will greatly benefit from bringing more women into technology. We want to give you an opportunity to learn how to program and become part of the technology community!
Workshops are free of charge.
We are thrilled to announce that we are extending our partnership with MotionLab, so they will be hosting us this year again!
MotionLab is located at: Bouchéstrasse 12, Hall 20 12435 Berlin
Do I need to know anything about websites or programming?
No! Workshops are for beginners. You don’t need to know anything about it. However, if you have a little bit of technical knowledge (i.e. you know what HTML or CSS are) you still can apply!
I am not living in Berlin, can I attend?
Of course! If you are able to make it to Berlin, workshops will be in English, so if you have no trouble with speaking and understanding English - you can apply.
Should I bring my own laptop?
Yes. We have no hardware, so we expect you to bring your computer with you. It is also important for us that you will take home everything you’ll write and create during workshops.
Do I need to have something installed on my laptop?
It would be helpful to have Python and Django installed before workshops, but it is not necessary. We will make sure that one of our coaches will help you out with this task.
Is food provided?
Yes. Thanks to our sponsors, breakfast, snacks and lunch will be served during workshops.
We couldn't be here without the support from amazing people and organizations who donated money, knowledge, space and time to help us make this a reality. If you want to contribute and support our goal, please get in touch: berlin@djangogirls.org
During the workshops you'll work in small groups of 3 women. Each group will be tutored by one coach who will be experienced members of Django community who volunteer their time, knowledge and energy for Django Girls.
